Hi, my name is Maddie, and I am a high school student from Alamosa. I have a deep passion for music – especially singing and playing the piano. Music has always been how I express myself and connect with the world around me. Last summer, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Lamont Summer Academy, and it truly changed my life. I grew so much – not just as a musician, but as a person. I learned new techniques, gained confidence, and got to be surrounded by other students who love music as much as I do. It inspired me in ways I didn’t even know were possible. Since coming home, I’ve continued to practice and push myself every day because I want to keep growing and chasing this dream. Attending Lamont again this summer would mean everything to me – it’s an opportunity to keep learning and improving and taking the next steps toward a future in music. However, my family and I are not able to afford the cost this year, especially since we are still paying off last summer‘s tuition. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
