The night of 11/8/2021 a fire started in the home of Madeleine and Megan. Luckily neither of them were home at the time, and it was thanks to quick thinking friends and amazing firefighters that their four cats were also saved, although one was slightly injured. Unfortunately, the house and their possessions are almost a total loss. They are having to stay in a hotel with just the clothes they had on their backs. We are raising money to help them with essentials and to rebuild what they lost. While nothing can replace the sentimental items, having clean clothes, toiletries, and the basic necessities would help immensely. These are two of the hardest working women you could meet and this is the last thing they deserved to have happen to them. Megan is a nurse, often working the Covid unit, and Maddi is the Drug and Alcohol Education Coordinator for UMD.
