This is my cousin and best friend Maddi, her husband Alex, and their darling little girl Saoirse. Up until the diagnosis Maddi and Alex were juggling working and going to school, all while being the most amazing parents to their baby girl. However, everything changed this past winter when their whole family got extremely sick with RSV. During this time, Maddi noticed some lumps on her neck that were growing and multiplying at an alarming rate. After numerous tests were completed, this sweet little family received the devastating news that Maddi has Hodgkins Lymphoma. Maddi has stayed so strong through this diagnosis and her first few rounds of treatment even telling others, "I am choosing happy cancer instead of sad cancer. Either way, I have it. It does my mind good knowing I can be strong for me, my husband, and baby girl." Maddi has a wonderful support system and knows that her Heavenly Father is watching over her. I know I can't take away the diagnosis, pain of treatment, or what is to come for Maddi and her family. Nevertheless, I hope that by sharing this, and with your help, we can at least lighten the load of the financial burden that is to come. We've got you and love you Maddi!
