Meet Maddex — a bright, determined, and compassionate young man who faces the challenges of epilepsy every single day with incredible courage. Maddex suffers from tonic-clonic seizures, which can strike without warning and are not only frightening but also potentially dangerous.

Despite these challenges, Maddex continues to amaze everyone around him. He’s a straight-A student, active in several school clubs, and a talented martial artist and athlete. He works hard, dreams big, and refuses to let epilepsy define him. But living with unpredictable seizures has taken away one thing every child deserves — a sense of safety and independence.

That’s why we are raising funds to help Maddex get a seizure alert and response/recovery dog — a highly trained companion who can sense when a seizure is coming, provide help during and after, and offer emotional comfort and confidence in daily life. This dog will not only keep him safe but will also give him back the independence he deserves — allowing him to do the things he loves with greater freedom and security.

The cost of training and placement for a seizure alert and response/recovery dog is significant, but the impact it will have on Maddex’s life is truly priceless. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to giving Maddex the partner he needs to live more freely, safely, and confidently.
