Madame Berthine is 80 years old and lives in Tamatave, Madagascar. Yesterday, Cyclone Gezani struck the east coast of the island, bringing powerful winds and heavy rain that caused severe damage in the region. Berthine’s home was heavily impacted. The winds completely blew off her roof, leaving her house exposed and unsafe.
Berthine is someone very close to my heart. When I lived in Madagascar, she cared for me like a mother and welcomed me into her home.
Now, she needs help rebuilding her home.
At 80 years old, repairing a house after a cyclone is not something she can do alone. I’m raising funds to help replace her roof and repair the damage so she can continue living safely in her home.
Thank you so much for helping me support her!
