My girlfriend and her friend recently rescued a dog they found while leaving work. She was skinny, sick, and covered in fleas and ticks. They took her to the vet right away, and while they were able to track down her previous owners, they were not interested in keeping her.

That’s when we knew Macy was meant to be with us. She is sweet, calm, and so loving, but she has been through a lot. The vet confirmed she tested positive for heartworms. As full-time college students, we’ve been able to cover her vaccines, flea and tick treatment, and the basics, but the heartworm treatment is much more expensive than we can handle alone.

Macy has already started her first phase of treatment, and we want nothing more than to give her a healthy, happy life. With your help, we can make sure she gets the care she needs and deserves.
