My name's Macon Kingsley and I'm currently top 50 in the country for high school shot put. It's been a very long and hard journey to be able to reach my goals this year, but I've finally achieved them. New Balance Nationals is the highest national championship you can achieve and I not only made the requirements, I crushed it by over 2 feet. Since nationals is sadly not school-funded, we have to pay for everything ourselves, including the tickets to submit me as an athlete, and to buy the tickets to go watch. The tickets alone are roughly $150 in total, not including the hotel and the food, and possibly the merch there as well. It's been a rough year at home with my father being charged and all, but we've been doing well. I would love the opportunity to be able to go to such a huge event like this so anything helps.
