Meet Macks, an 11-year-old with an unstoppable love for football. He gives everything he has on the field, playing both offense and defense—but behind that strength is a daily challenge. Macks is pre-diabetic, and intense activity can cause dangerous blood sugar swings. Even with a Dexcom monitor, the physical nature of the game can interrupt alerts, making it harder to catch highs and lows in time.
We’re raising funds for a trained diabetic alert dog—a life-changing companion that can detect blood sugar changes early and help keep Macks safe while giving him more independence and confidence on and off the field.
The cost can be up to $22,500, so we’ve broken it into four fundraising tiers to make it more manageable. Reaching our first goal is especially important, as it allows us to begin applying for grants to help cover more of the remaining cost.
Every donation and share brings Macks one step closer to staying safe while continuing to chase the game he loves. Thank you for being part of his journey.
