Urgent appeal to help save Macko’s life – Surgery Needed This Friday!

This is Macko. He’s just about a year old, and has already lived through more suffering than any dog should. For most of his young life, Macko was chained outside in harsh conditions, forgotten and unloved. When we rescued him, he had no idea what kindness felt like. But slowly, he started to trust. He started to hope.

Now that hope is in jeopardy.

Macko has been diagnosed with a severe heartworm infection—so advanced that the only option left to save his life is surgical removal of the worms, scheduled for this Friday. This is not a routine procedure. It's his only chance at survival.

We need to raise the funds urgently by the end of the week to cover the costs of this life-saving surgery. Without it, Macko won’t make it, as end stage heartworm infection will result in the dog passing awat.

At FAPF, we are a small but passionate rescue group operating in one of Hungary’s most impoverished areas. Every day we fight an uphill battle—limited resources, overwhelming need, and too many animals suffering in silence.

With early detection, heartworm can be treated. But Macko never had that chance. Like so many animals born into neglect, his illness went unnoticed—until now.
