Our family is heartbroken by the unexpected loss of a truly special woman — smart, funny, talented, and deeply loving. She was not only my stepmom, but my dad Mackie’s best friend, soulmate, and greatest support. Their bond was something rare and beautiful — filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

She was a gifted artist and an incredibly talented musician whose creativity and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Her smile lit up a room, her laugh was unforgettable, and her spirit was both fierce and kind. She was independent, compassionate, and loved my dad with all her heart.

This unimaginable loss has left a huge hole in all our hearts, especially my dad’s. As many of you know, Mackie is a man of deep faith, and while that faith will carry him through, the financial strain of funeral expenses and adjusting to life without his partner is overwhelming.
