Help Mackenzie's Banner Get Crucial MRI
Donation protected
My name is Mackenzie. I have never been married and I do not have any children in the traditional sense. I have three beautiful rescues. That’s where Banner comes in and this story begins.
Banner is my middle child, but he was the first I got as a puppy. He was only 10 pounds when I brought him home. He was so full of energy and always playing. As he grew, he got himself into everything and always had to have attention. Any vet we would walk into, he was smiling and wagging his tail so hard they had to have people in the room just to hold it. He steals the hearts of anyone he comes across.
It all started subtly, he began getting anxious and more odd behaviors that weren’t normal. Often pacing and trembling. I figured it might have been anxiety so we went to the vet and began a trial run of anti-anxiety meds. We also ran full blood work panels and everything was normal.
After multiple anxiety med failures, Banner began getting worse, he started getting more aggressive with my other dog and would either be very lethargic or in attack mode constantly. Fast forward a bit more, he ran into one of my trees in my backyard without even slowing or trying to avoid it. He knocked himself out for a few seconds.
Another vet visit and we began a trial of anti-seizure meds. This also did not seem to help. I would call him and he would run diagonally away from the door. Like he couldn’t tell where I was calling him from.
Now we are at a point where he’s drooling all the time and he has his outbursts more frequently and the vet has referred us to Neurology for an MRI for a brain tumor suspicion. This is heartbreaking for me and is going to cost more than I can afford.
The MRI is crucial in diagnosing Banner's condition accurately. It will determine if he has a brain tumor and guide me in the next steps for his treatment and care. Unfortunately, I cannot cover this alone.
Banner is more than just a pet to me. He is my family, my baby. Seeing him suffer without knowing how to help is destroying me inside. It’s like I’m drowning and can’t get myself to the surface for air. I want to give him the best chance to live a happy, pain-free life for as long as I can.
So, I am reaching out to all friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to getting the diagnosis and treatment Banner needs.
Please help me give Banner a fighting chance for our little family to remain whole. Your support and generosity mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
