Help Support Mackenzie and His Family During His Recovery
We are asking for support for Mackenzie as he begins a difficult medical journey. Mackenzie is a loving father of four and someone who has always helped others without ever asking for anything in return. Unfortunately, his health has declined this year, and he now needs our help.
Mackenzie has been diagnosed with a rare giant cell tumor in his bone marrow of his tibia bone. He will be undergoing major surgery where doctors will remove the tumor, take live cells from his hip, use donor bone marrow to fill in his tibia, and place plates and screws to stabilize his leg. After surgery, he will be immobilized for 6–8 weeks and then require several months of physiotherapy. It will take 8 months before he can return to light duty work.
This has been incredibly hard emotionally and financially, especially for his young children who don’t fully understand what’s happening. His spouse has been doing everything she can to support him and keep the household running, but this journey is overwhelming for their family.
Because Mackenzie will be unable to work during his long recovery, we are raising funds to help cover medical costs, rehabilitation, bills, travel costs and daily living expenses.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for supporting Mackenzie and his family during this challenging time.
