Goal: $15,000 — A story of love, loss, and a mother’s determination

Less than a year ago, MacKenzee and Chandler Olivier stood beneath the Louisiana sky and made a promise to each other. They were young, deeply in love, and building a life together in Opelousas — a life that had just gotten even more beautiful with the news that they were expecting their first child, a baby girl they already knew they’d name Beverly Ann.

You can see it in the photos from their wedding day — the way Chandler looked at MacKenzee like she was his whole world. The joy on their faces as they cut their cake. Two people at the very beginning of everything.

Then, without warning, Chandler was gone .

MacKenzee, just 23 years old and in her third trimester, is now facing the unimaginable — grieving the husband she adored while preparing to bring their daughter into the world. That precious ultrasound of baby Beverly Ann, a little life Chandler loved before he ever held her, is now both a source of immeasurable joy and heartbreak.

Who was Chandler Oliver?

Chandler was 26 years old and the kind of man who showed up — not just for his family, but for his entire community. He was a proud co-owner of Crawfish Corner in Opelousas and Sunset Castrol in Sunset. He gave his time to Dustin Miller’s Senior Awareness Program and could be found every year at the Cerebral Palsy Clinic of Opelousas’s beloved “Breakfast with Santa,” bringing joy to children who needed it most. When he wasn’t working or serving others, he was out on the water fishing or in the marsh duck hunting — living the Louisiana life he loved. He was a husband, a businessman, a community pillar, and a father-to-be who never got the chance.

MacKenzee is carrying all of this — his memory, his child, and the full weight of an uncertain future — with more grace and strength than anyone should ever have to summon at 23. She has dreams: to return to school one day, to build a stable and meaningful life, to raise Beverly Ann to know exactly who her father was and how fiercely she was loved before she even arrived.

But right now, she simply needs to get through the next chapter — and she cannot do it without help.

$5,000 — Immediate needs:

Rent, living expenses, and everything baby Beverly Ann needs to come home to a safe and loving space.

10,000 — Future & education:

For MacKenzee to one day return to school, and to begin building Beverly Ann’s future from day one.

Chandler spent his short life pouring into others. He showed up for seniors, for children with disabilities, for his customers, for his community. Now it’s our turn to show up for the family he left behind.
