My brother and sister in law, Mack and Rose, had a fire in their home on 1/3/25. Their beloved husky, Maverick, was inside and inhaled a large amount of smoke, causing extensive lung/health damage. He received specialty care including high flow oxygen at 2 different emergency vets, but devastatingly, Maverick passed away on Sunday 1/5/25 while Mack & Rose were with him.

If you know Mack & Rose, you know that Maverick was their child, and it is absolutely heartbreaking to witness this happen to such loving people and their precious dog. The special care Maverick received was very expensive, so if you are able to donate any amount, I know it would mean so much to Mack and Rose in this time of grieving (and dealing with the aftermath of their home).
