Help Macintosh's Recovery
Donation protected
Saturday May 20th, 2023, Macintosh was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. When paramedics arrived, he was conscious but had difficulty breathing and was taken via ambulance to the hospital in Dekalb IL for evaluation. X-Rays and CT scans were performed in which it was found Mac had suffered serious trauma: 5 fractured ribs, a punctured right lung, fractured right collar bone and several fractures to the outside of his T2 and T3 vertebrae. Saturday night, Macintosh was transferred via ambulance to Javon Bea Hospital, located in Rockford, lL, in which he spent 5 days and 5 nights. The drainage chest tube, for his punctured lung, was removed Thursday and Macintosh arrived home Friday. The severity of his fractured shoulder is still unknown and there is a high probability surgery will be required.
Mac has always dreamed of being self-employed. For a decade he ran his machine shop after hours while dedicating 40+ to his employer. 18 months ago, he finally made the jump to pursue his personal business full time. He is the sole employee and as many know he devotes most of his time to working in the shop. Macintosh has never been one to ask for help but with the extent of the injuries he’s in need of a hand to keep moving forward.
Any contributions and donations will be going directly to Macintosh’s medical bills. Any and all help is appreciated in this time of need. Thanks again to all of those who have helped get us this far.
