Help Macho Man See Again: Cataract Surgery Fund
Donation protected
This is my sweet Chihuahua, Macho Man. He is 11 years old and has suddenly gone blind due to cataracts. It started about four months ago, and now he is completely blind.
He’s had a few close calls that could have been serious. He fell into the pool, and thankfully, he managed to find his way out after quite a few minutes. Another time, he fell off the couch onto the tile floor and split his mouth open.
It breaks my heart to see him constantly running into everything. I’ve placed pool noodles on every sharp edge around the house to help, but it’s not enough.
I recently visited the Veterinary Eye Institute, a wonderful clinic close to my home, and they can restore Macho’s sight with surgery. It’s a relatively simple procedure, but unfortunately, it’s expensive. Between the tests and the operation, the total cost will be upwards of $4,000.
He spends his day either staring at a wall or just falling into very deep sleeps. He no longer plays with the other animals, his toys, or even enjoys the outdoors. I haven’t heard him bark either since he lost his sight.
Macho would be so much happier with his sight back, and I’m trying my best to give it back to him. If you can, please help Macho Man see again. Thanks so much!
