Help Macey Get Surgery

Hi my name is Julie Williamson and I am reaching out for help with my 15yo daughter, Macey. Since 2017 she has been diagnosed with liver damage. Recently we learned that she is also experiencing a metabolic disorder and multi-organ impairment (kidneys, heart, and ovaries). She has been in chronic pain for the last couple years and this past year we sought care from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. They have been a godsend to us and can offer her a surgery that will prevent her from needing a transplant several years down the road. Unfortunately her insurance will not cover the surgery, as it's an exclusion on our plan due to the cost. Like most insurances, they would cover a transplant once her liver fails but not the surgery to prevent the failure. Macey is such a bright, sweet, caring kid who just wants to feel better and be normal. She has missed out on so many things because she is often sick, and I just want to help her have the life she deserves. The surgery is expensive and we've used much of our savings to travel back and forth to Rochester, MN and to pay for pre-surgery appointments. Any money donated will go directly to Mayo so they will be able to move forward with her surgery.
