My name is Macedonia, and I’m reaching out for help for myself and my 14-year-old dog, Baby. I’ve always done my best to keep up with rent, but after losing my job at a hotel, things became much harder. I now rely on SSI, which just isn’t enough to cover everything, especially when late fees are added on. Even though I pay my rent every month, I’ve fallen behind on the late fees, and now I’ve received eviction papers. I have to go to court on March fourth and I’m scared of losing our home.

I’ve had Baby for ten years, and she means the world to me. My sister has helped as much as she can, but it’s still not enough to cover what’s needed. I’ve tried everything I can to work with my property manager, but now they’re moving forward with the eviction. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but it’s hard knowing that Baby and I could lose our home.
