Help Mace be cancer free!
Donación protegida
Hi! My name is Rob and I’m fundraising for my dog Mace. Mace has had a very happy and active life but has had a tough time since the day I adopted him. He is six years old, and in the five that I’ve had him he has gone through six months of heart worm treatment and cancer treatment for the last year and a half. Due to the location of the tumor on his paw, he wasn’t eligible for common treatment methods. In effort to keep his leg, I opted for an alternative treatment instead of amputation. After a really tough year working to help him recover and several thousands of dollars toward treatment and failed recovery, his cancerous tumor has returned and he is now worse off than when we started. The previously treated site will no longer heal and the cancer is growing back more aggressively than before. His only treatment option left is amputation. The procedure will be done at an animal clinic in McAllen and is scheduled for the 16th of this month. Estimate for the procedure and post op care is around $2000. I’m not one to ask for help, especially financially, but between the thousands I still am paying for his previous treatment and my recent move to the valley for work, I need all that I can get. Mace serves not only as my best friend as most dogs do for their owners, but as a veteran he also helps me as an emotional support service dog. Even the smallest donation amount is appreciated! Help me help Mace to be the cancer free and the cutest, happiest, and derpiest dog on three legs! Thank you!
