Willie McLemore Is Awaiting a Liver Transplant
Please consider donating to help our good friend Willie McLemore, who is going through a tough time. Willie has been in and out of the hospital since April of this year. After bouts with sepsis, it looks like he will need a liver transplant. The medication that he needs is very expensive and has a long road ahead, not to mention lost wages.
Willie retired from the Gary, IN Police Department after nearly 22 years of service. His dedication to his job was never unnoticed by his co workers. He was a tremendous asset to the units he worked on, and was greatly missed upon retiring. While working at the Gary Police Department, Willie was also employed at the Lake County Community Corrections Kimbrough Center for 7 years, and is well known there. Prior to becoming a Gary Police officer, Willie worked at the Indiana State Prison for five years, leaving there as a Lieutenant.
Willie “Mac” would help anyone in need, but is the type that would never ask for help himself. This is why we, his fellow brothers, are asking for him. Please help with whatever you can. He is our brother and a great man. He might be mad at us putting this out there, but this has his wife's blessing. Thank you.
