Hi, my name is Jessica and we (my husband and I) are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our sweet pup, Mac. Last Friday night, Mac was playing at daycare and stepped wrong and blew out her knee. At first, we thought she had just strained her knee, but 24 hours later, we found ourselves in animal urgent care and received devastating news that her knee is a total loss and is requiring an intensive surgery.
Mac has been a part of our lives for 4 1/2 years and is more than just a pet; she is a member of our family and truly a therapy pup for my husband. Always full of love, loyalty, and joy, she has been with us through thick and thin, offering unconditional love every step of the way. Mac was our foster pup, a stray found on the streets of Missouri. We took her in and fell in love with her.
Recently, Mac was diagnosed with TPLO (similar to an ACL tear in a human knee) and the only option to give her a chance at a healthy future is orthopedic surgery.
The cost of the surgery, plus necessary aftercare and medications, is more than we can afford on our own — around $10,000. We really struggle in asking for help; this is not easy for us. But we know we can't do this without support from our friends, family, and community.
Every dollar makes a difference. Whether you're able to donate or simply share this campaign, we are deeply grateful. Your kindness can help give Mac more happy, healthy years.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love,
Jessica & Phil and Miss Mac
