Hey folks, Steph and Brad here.
As you may know, we have a household of senior pets that we love and are a part of our family. Both have been going through a rough patch over the last few months, and while we may need to tell you more about what Kaylee has been dealing with in the near future, the more immediate issue we have is with Mac (aka Big Mac, Stinko, #1 Guy in the Group, etc., etc.).
Since about Halloween, Mac has had a cough, severe congestion, and other flu-like symptoms. We have been to the vet numerous times now, and have treated him with antibiotics and steroids for pneumonia and an ear infection, and a couple other things. However, while his other ailments have cleared up, his congestion has not. We've exhausted all of our options in-house at our vet to determine the cause, and what's left is to get him a CT scan and a rhinoscopy to determine if there's something in his nose causing the issue.
Annnnnd that's where you all come in, because as it turns out, that is incredibly expensive. Because he has to have anesthesia for the procedures, we're looking at $5000+ tax ($3000 for the CT scan, $2000 for the rhinoscopy).
We know that this is a lot of money and we wouldn't be considering this if he wasn't otherwise in extremely good health—he loves his walks (excellent knees still!), he's playful, has a great appetite, and you can just see in his eyes that he has lots of life left to give. We don't expect to make this whole GFM, but anything that you can contribute helps us to be able to take the best care of our pets that we can, and give them the best quality of life.
We love and appreciate you all, and will be sure to update on the progress as we go. Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to offer us.
❤️❤️❤️
