Mabel, I believe is a very young Vietnamese Pot Belly Pig that was recently found wandering the streets. No one came forward to claim her, so I stepped in to give her somewhere safe to stay. After 24 hours of decompressing, food and water, Mabel's personality quickly came out! She is a loving, gentle and charismatic porky! She loves her veggies, supplements, paddling pool and her new giant jolly ball! Mabel has become a celebrity here over night! Everyone loves Mabel and she enjoys greeting guests and their dogs! I believe Mabel was likely purchased as a 'micro pig' but soon became larger than expected and was likely abandoned. Pigs are highly intelligent and require mental stimulation and affection! However, just like dogs, pigs need vaccines and they need to be neutered to prevent aggression during heat cycles, reduce the need to escape and prevent fatal diseases like pyometra.

Mabel is well loved and taken care of, living among many other animals that have found their way to me!

However, the expense of now housing an 'exotic' pet is not something I was planning on. I will need to build a new enclosure for her and the items she has needed have already cost a small fortune. However, Mabel needs to see a vet that will Spay and vaccinate her asap. I have found a vet who is able to do this but we are potentially looking to pay $750-1000 to get her a clear bill of health.
