Help Ma Recover From Stroke
Donation protected
Stroke turned our family's world upside down shortly after saying Happy New Year. On January 1, 2021 at 1:30 am (Pacific Time), our mom, Ma Chang or Mrs. Fai Yee Yang, woke up with a vomit and the inability to talk and was rushed by the ambulance to Methodist Hospital, Sacramento, CA. Ma was immediately transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Carmichael, CA to be thoroughly evaluated. Ma was then diagnosed with an Intracerebral Hemorrhage (Hemorragic) Stroke in the left brain and was hospitalized for 18 days where she was unconscious and did not respond to stimuli. As a result of the hemorrhagic stroke, her right side of the body is paralyzed. Ma is currently unable to walk, move, eat, and speak. She currently uses the PEG for feeding purposes. Ma will have lifelong challenges with her mobility, communication, and activities of daily living. Our family is doing everything we can to help our mom, Ma, as well as to transition from our normal life to this new normal life post the stroke.
We love our mom very much and hope that someday she will recover. We miss her phone calls, we miss hearing her voice, we miss her active energy, we miss everything about her. She is not rich monetarily, but she has a rich heart filled with love and abundant respect.
This fundraising is going toward our mom's medical expenses, medical supplies, and the many more medical, rehab, and therapy appointments that will be needed for her to recover.
Our family has hope and faith that one day our mom will come back to us.
Thank you for taking your time to read our mom's journey and for your support.
