Help Lyss pay rent

My name is Lyss. I am a 23-year-old transgender woman who needs help paying for HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and the costs of moving out of my abusive household.

 

I came out as transgender two years ago, and since then, I've not been able to make virtually any progress in my transition. My mother does not work and relies on me to pay for rent, internet, food, and other expenses. To keep me in this house, she's gone as far as guilting me into staying and even forging my signature on the lease.

 

The emotional and financial burden of all this has forced me to drop out of college and stop HRT, as I can no longer afford either. I've tried my best for the longest time, and I am honestly at the end of my rope.

 

I am not the type to ask for help like this. I'm generally too stubborn and proud (and often stupid) of a person to accept financial aid, but this is the only option I can think of.

 

This money wouldn't cover everything, obviously, but I'm confident that I would be able to survive on my own once I got the financial push to move out and pursue my transition. I am lucky enough to be able-bodied and willing to perform most physical labor jobs.
