Many of you know Lynx — I adopted him from our school, where so many of you loved and cared for him before he came home with me. I’m so grateful for the way you all poured into him before he officially became mine.
This week, I took Lynx to the vet for a medical shave because his belly fur had become painfully matted. While he was there, the vet examined his teeth and discovered significant dental disease. They were surprised at how advanced it is for such a young cat. He will likely need 3–4 teeth extracted — and possibly more once he is under anesthesia and full dental X-rays can be completed — to prevent infection and ongoing pain. The vet shared that without treatment, the infection could significantly shorten his life (she said only about 2-3 more years ).
I’m hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of his dental surgery and extractions. If you feel led to contribute, any amount would mean so much. Lynx was cared for by this school family first, and it feels right to invite you into helping him once again. Thank you for loving him then — and for considering supporting him now.
