Help Lynsey & Family After Tragic Loss

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

On the morning of August 23, our world was shattered when my beloved husband, Patrick, passed away suddenly in his sleep, just four days shy of his 36th birthday. Our lives have been turned upside down, and we are left grappling with unimaginable grief.

For over a year, Patrick battled gastroparesis, which left him physically weakened and unable to work or engage in everyday activities. Despite the challenges, we held onto hope as he began to improve, keeping food down, gaining weight, and gradually regaining his strength. However, on Monday, August 19, he came down with what we were told was just a viral infection. Tragically, we are still uncertain about what caused his passing, but we do know that his body had fought valiantly to return to normal for our family. I can only imagine that his body was simply exhausted. While we are heartbroken, we find solace in knowing that Patrick is no longer suffering and is now completely healed.

The past year has placed an enormous financial burden on us, and now, in addition to those existing struggles, we face the overwhelming task of planning Patrick’s end-of-life arrangements while trying to navigate life without him.

This is an incredibly frightening time for our family, and we are deeply grateful for any support you can offer as we try to move forward. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity as we learn to live without my best friend.
