My name is Lynsay, and I’m reaching out because my family—myself and my two kids—are facing an incredibly difficult time. We were living in a motel when a fire broke out, and in an instant, we lost our home and everything we had. The experience has been overwhelming, and we are now displaced, trying to figure out our next steps with nowhere to stay.

Right now, our most urgent needs are finding a safe place to live and replacing the essentials we lost in the fire. It’s been especially hard on my children, who are trying to adjust to so much change and uncertainty. Every day, I’m doing my best to keep us together and hopeful, but it’s a challenge without the basics that make a home.
