Hi, I’m Lynn, the mother of an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees mix shelter dog that I adopted from Southern Paws in January.

I recently found out that she has congenital hip dysplasia on both sides. She is in pain every day and is now on pain pills. Both hips are permanently dislocated due to the dysplasia, and she needs surgery called Total Hip Replacement (THR). This surgery will most probably be needed on both sides and costs $10,000.00 per hip.

Without the surgery, she cannot jump, run, or take longer walks. Since this is not the type of life any animal should have, I have decided to get her the surgery. There are not too many places that do this surgery, but I found AMC in Manhattan that can help her.

Since this is a lot of money for a single parent with a daughter in college, I’ve decided to try GoFundMe. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
