I am a parent of three children, and recently, two of my kids had surgery. The travel costs for their medical care were not covered, so we had to pay out of pocket, using money that was meant for bills and debt payments. This unexpected expense has left us struggling to catch up, and now I am having a hard time providing food for my children. Despite our situation, we do not qualify for food stamps, which makes things even more difficult.
