The ending of Mother’s Day turned horrific for our family. Without getting into the specifics, Lynne, Owen and Rayden were brutally attacked in their home with a hammer, a bat and a knife from someone whom they trusted. If you know any of these three loving people, you know they would not hurt a fly, and they are now battling injuries that may stay with them for the rest of their lives. We are very fortunate that they made it out alive from the attack. The fact a 14 year old child (Rayden) with open head wounds had the bravery to run and get help may ultimately be the reason they are still here and the younger three siblings did not suffer from more injuries as well. With that being said, recovery is going to be extremely hard and an extremely long process. Lynne and Owen are still in the ICU, and the doctors have said with brain injuries it is “day by day” but mentioning rehab will most likely be necessary in the future, including not knowing what disabilities they may encounter during recovery. Rayden is also still in the hospital. “I do not want to be a burden” is what he told us when mentioning his healing process. The support from the community & their loved ones is greatly appreciated. Even if you can not donate financially, please send prayers, positive & healing thoughts to the entire family as they continue through this nightmare.
