Help Lynne Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery

- This is a fund for my wife Lynne. We retired to North Carolina 7 years ago with plans to travel and enjoy the mountains but just after moving Lynne started feeling very tired and weak. After many doctors appointments they found she had ASD ( atrial septal defect) a hole in the heart. She was operated on for this in Asheville NC and was told that everything went well and she would be fine. She was feeling better and we happy that we could get back to living our lives. During a doctor's appointment they did blood work on her and found a very high white count. After 3 different doctors they found she had leukemia and started her on many different drugs trying to find the best drug with the least side effects. We went through all our savings with all the travel and our co-pays on the doctors appointments and drugs. We decided to move to Florida because the health care in the mountains (limited doctors and hospitals.) The drugs started working and she started feeling better, but then she was getting very short of breath for no reason. Going back and forth with different doctors they found that the repair in her heart was failing. No doctors in the area can do this repair and just told her to go on hospice, she is only 70 years old and has a lot of life to live. I went on line and found a doctor that can do the repair in Sarasota. We are on a very tight budget with social security and need help with travel, lodging and meals going from Pensacola and Sarasota. We have an appointment with the doctor to discuss the repair and find out when he can do the operation so we will have at least 2 trips. You think everything is fine with your life and then things happen. Please help.
