Help Lynne Breathe at Night

I am reaching out to family and friends for financial help for my sister Lynne. As most of you know, Lynne has an intellectual disability; therefore, is unable to work. Lynne has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Cheyne–Stokes respiration. This causes Lynne to stop breathing in her sleep. Her case is extreme which causes her to stop breathing anywhere from 40-50 times an hour. This has a profound effect on the cardiopulmonary system, causing oxygen desaturation, cardiac arrhythmias, and changes in mental status.  

Extensive testing has been done on Lynne over the past year and the normal apnea machines, that have government funding, are not working for her particular condition. Lynne was then tried on a special machine called Bipap autoSV Advanced, and it was able to bring her apnea events down to 5-10 an hour. This is a huge improvement. Lynne instantly felt the difference in her overall health.

Unfortunately this machine is $5300.00. Presently Lynne is using a borrowed machine from Shoppers Home Health Care that has to be returned to as soon as possible. My daughter Cyndi, that Lynne has lived with for the past 10 years, was able to find an organization that would cover almost half the cost of this particular machine.  That leaves only $2650 that Lynne would have to pay. Lynne is on OAS, and unfortunately does not have extra money to pay for this machine.
