Hi Everyone,
This is Laura, Lynn’s daughter. I’m fundraising to help my mom fix her house. The past few years have been increasingly difficult for her both physically and mentally. After a 6 week hospital stay including 6 operations in 2021, my mom left the hospital incredibly weak which transformed into severe depression. She recently had another hospital visit for stroke-like symptoms, her doctors believed to be a TIA. Basically this last visit has severely impacted her ability to take care of her daily activities, and without health insurance it will also be a massive financial burden, which will in turn also create more stress. Her house has needed new floors for quite sometime, but in the past few months they have become increasingly worse with her limited mobility. Because of the condition of the floors we are unable to have the water on in part of her kitchen, meaning she can’t use her dishwasher and only has hot water in her sink. Her oven desperately needs replaced. In addition there are holes in her floors in the bathroom and no running water in the sink. We think $15,000 would afford us the opportunity to completely re-floor her kitchen, fix her bathroom tub, sink, and toilet. It will help get her a new fridge, oven, dishwasher, and general other improvements she needs with her new mobility issues. There’s of course absolutely no obligation to donate, but anything helps. It takes a village. This is the only way I know to help my mom start living a normal life again.
