Hello family, friends, loved ones, and homies of Lynn,
I’m writing on behalf of our dear friend, who is facing an incredibly challenging time battling cervical cancer. Lynn is a devoted student, a proud mother, and a fierce fighter.
Lynn is currently double majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and Chicano Studies with a minor in Labor Studies at CSU Dominguez Hills. Despite facing significant challenges, Lynn recently completed a semester with straight A’s, all while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Balancing her studies and treatment has been incredibly tough, but her determination keeps her going. She has also succeeded academically while managing a neurodevelopmental condition.
As a single mom, Lynn relies solely on financial aid to support herself and her daughter Athena. The expenses for day-to-day living costs have become overwhelming while recovering. This is why we are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate strangers, for help.
Your support will help ensure a stable living environment for Lynn and her daughter, and allow her to focus on her education and health. Every donation, big or small, brings her one step closer to recovery and achieving her academic and life goals.
Lynn is also a Mellon Mays Research Fellow. Her academic journey began at Golden West College as an active Puente Student, and she transferred to CSUDH to pursue her dreams of becoming a university professor.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can help Lynn overcome this challenge.
With gratitude,
Veronica
