Help Lynden Heal After Devastating Accident
Donation protected
At just 18 years old, Lynden Utman-Lavaque was out enjoying his last weekend of freedom before beginning his journey as a United States Marine — a dream he had worked hard to achieve. But in a sudden and tragic moment, everything changed.
While riding his motorcycle, a man unexpectedly ran into the road. Lynden had no time to avoid the collision. He struck the man and was thrown nearly 50 feet, landing face-first and suffering catastrophic injuries. His maxilla — the central structure of his face — was completely shattered.
Lynden is currently struggling to breathe due to the severity of the damage, making facial reconstruction surgery not only urgent but absolutely critical. Instead of reporting for duty on April 17th, the date he was supposed to ship out for boot camp, Lynden will now be undergoing major surgery.
Despite the pain and uncertainty, Lynden’s spirit remains strong. He’s already talking about a new calling: becoming a trauma nurse, inspired by the care he’s receiving and determined to help others the way others are helping him now.
We are reaching out for support to help cover the overwhelming medical costs, living expenses, and the long recovery process ahead. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Lynden’s healing and future.
If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t, please share Lynden’s story — your support means more than you know. He may only be 18, but his strength, resilience, and determination are truly remarkable.
