Help Lynda with Medical and Daily Expenses

Hi, my name is Stacey, and I’ve known Lynda for a very long time. She is one of the most caring and giving people I know—the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. Lynda knows how tough life can be; she raised two children alone with no child support. She even gave up a career in the private sector to take a school secretarial position, allowing her to care for her kids.

Unfortunately, Lynda’s health has taken a severe toll over the last 4 years. She’s endured 4 major surgeries and numerous medical procedures. The mounting costs of unpaid medical leave forced her to take out loans, which now consume a large portion of her paycheck, leaving her unable to afford daily living expenses. She’s also struggling to keep up with the medical care she desperately needs. She has two knee surgeries in limbo because she simply can’t afford them, which makes walking extremely difficult.

Donated funds will go toward making sure Lynda can continue to get the medical care she needs, as well as cover basic living expenses. This includes trying to recover some of the costs already spent on her care to help ease her daily burden.

Lynda now faces the heartbreaking reality of having to move out of her rental home of 15 years into a single room. She has pleaded with her landlord to reduce her rent, but instead, he raised it. She’s doing everything she can to rise above these challenges, but it’s incredibly difficult.

She’s received some support from family and friends, but that help is no longer available. Despite searching for a permanent part-time job and picking up side jobs when she can, she’s still struggling to make ends meet.
