My name is Raylene, and Ive known Lynda my entire life. Lynda & my mother’s friendship goes way back starting in grade school. The true definition of bff’s.

If you’ve ever met Lynda, you know she’s one of those people who lights up a room — usually by making everyone laugh until their stomach hurts. Even in the darkest times, she finds a way to bring humour, hope, and love into the lives of those around her.

Right now, she needs that same love and light reflected back to her.

Lynda is courageously fighting cancer caused by HPV-related complications, a topic rarely spoken about. Instead of hiding, she’s chosen to use her journey to spread awareness and educate younger generations about the importance of vaccination and early testing. One of her videos about living with cancer has already reached over 600,000 people on Instagram, inspiring countless others through her honesty, humour, and strength.

In April 2025, we thought she had won her battle, ringing the Gong at the Calgary Cancer Clinic, passing out bubbles to all of the nurses who helped her through her first cancer journey! But in June of 2025 a pet scan revealed the cancer has spread throughout her body.

Behind the brave face and laughter, Lynda needs her communities help.

Her treatments have forced her to step away from work. She’s been denied emergency government funding and disability support, and now she’s facing eviction while undergoing aggressive cancer treatment.

This is where community matters most.

Lynda has spent her life helping others, never hesitating to give, listen, invite someone into her home, or lift someone up when they needed it most.

Now, it’s our turn to lift her.
