My wife, Lynda Perkins, and I have been together for over 48 years, facing life’s ups and downs side by side. For the past two years, Lynda has been on dialysis and has endured several surgeries related to her kidneys and dialysis treatments. Despite her strength and determination, none of the surgeries have brought relief, and her health challenges continue to grow. We have always tried to handle everything ourselves, but after years of medical bills and daily expenses, we have reached a point where we simply can’t do it alone anymore.
Recently, Lynda told me she had to spend the last money we had in the bank just to pay our electric bill. Groceries have become a struggle, and watching her cry at the checkout is truly heartbreaking. We are an older couple, and while we receive social security, it just isn’t enough to cover all our living expenses after paying for Lynda’s ongoing care. Lynda is well known in our community from her years working in retail, and we have always tried to help others when we could. Now, we find ourselves needing to swallow our pride and ask for help.
We are so grateful for any support, no matter how small. Your kindness will help us cover medical bills, keep the lights on, and put food on the table. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to anyone who is able to help us during this difficult time.
