Help Lynda and Darrell

Our dear Lynda experienced a series of life-threatening complications following outpatient laparoscopic surgery early in December. The most serious of these is sepsis, which led to several small brain bleeds. She is currently on life-support in the CT ICU at Emory Hospital receiving ECMO and dialysis treatments. We are waiting patiently for her lungs to heal enough to discontinue ECMO therapy, enabling the medical team to get an MRI and determine her prognosis for healing. We have had several positive signs as of today, and we'll take every one of them.

Lynda's husband and best friend, Darrell, sister Kathy, mother Joyce, and sister-in-law Chris are committed to keeping Lynda company around the clock, which entails considerable unanticipated expenses, from parking to time off from work to caregiving services for her mom. At this time we don't know the full scope of their needs, so we'd like to work swiftly to build a cushion to take one worry away. We don’t yet know what the future will demand.
