Our dear friend Lynard Joiner was the victim of a terrible car accident back in August, he was T-boned and suffered serious injuries to his neck. As a result, Lynard now faces an intensive neck surgery on April 15, and a long road to recovery, expected to keep him out of work for 3 to 6 months.

Lynard is someone who gives everything he has to others. He works two jobs, one of which is for a charity he founded himself, S.I.N.G., which assists those incarcerated with reentry back into the workforce while offering support to their families as well. The other is his famous soul food catering business. Lynard is the kind of person who never asks for anything but is always the first to lend a hand, offer support, or show up when someone else is in need.

Now it's our turn to show up for him.

While he recovers from surgery, Lynard will be unable to work—leaving him without income to cover medical bills, utilities, and basic living expenses. On top of that, his doctors have told him he’ll need to sleep in a recliner for proper healing, as lying flat could be dangerous for his recovery. He doesn’t currently own one, so part of this fundraiser will go toward purchasing a comfortable, supportive recliner to help him heal safely at home.
