Lyla Rose was born on March 30, 2021, in St. John's, NL. Just over 24hrs later she started having seizures and it was determined that she had a stroke. In the very early hours today, April 10th, she was transported to the Children's Hospital in Halifax, NS for treatment. The treatment will take quite sometime, and it will become quite costly.  

While the medical insurance covers Lyla's stay in hospital it does not cover the cost of her mom staying with her and it will not cover all medical expenses on her road to recovery.

As you can imagine the strain of having a newborn in this situation is overwhelming in itself, in addition there is now financial strain added to the mother as well. 

We would like to take this strain off her by raising the immediate funds necessary so that the mother does not have this added to her worries.
