On Monday, 12/29/25, I took my 9-month-old daughter, Lyla, to the ER. I thought she was sick and she started deteriorating very quickly.

By Tuesday night, she went into emergency heart surgery to replace her valve, which had torn. This was already her third heart surgery in 2025, but unlike the others, this one was not planned.

She is doing better but is recovering very slowly. I’m not sure how much longer she will be in the hospital.

With all of the stress and anxiety the past week has brought, I don’t feel mentally or emotionally stable enough to work through this hard time. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough sick or vacation time to use, and we are already struggling financially to get by.

I feel guilty and I hate to ask for money, but I don’t feel like we have any other option at this time.

if you plan on donating to us, we will make sure the funds go directly to Lyla, bills, gas, etc. We are very careful with how we spend our money, especially during hard times like this. We will make sure this money goes to things that are important and matter.
