Help Lyla Get the Medical Care Her Rescue Refused

The Story:
My name is Brieana, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart for a dog I love more than words can say. In October 2024, I adopted Lyla, a beautiful 1 year old soul who quickly became my world. Unfortunately, shortly after coming home, Lyla began suffering from chronic regurgitation and other health complications. After thousands of dollars in specialist visits, X-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork, Lyla was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and a congenital kidney deformity. She also suffers from head tremors and struggles with significant mobility issues in her rear legs.

The Crisis:
I have maxed out my credit, drained my emergency savings, and even sacrificed my own basic needs to keep up with her care. When I reached out to her original rescue for help—per the requirements of my adoption contract—I was told they would not take her back and was even suggested "end of life options" because her care had become "inconvenient." Lyla is not "inconvenient." She is family. But I cannot save her alone.

How Your Donation Helps:
Lyla is currently experiencing a severe flare-up. Because the rescue will not honor their commitment to her, we are raising funds to cover:
• Specialist Consultations: To manage her pancreatitis, kidney health, and liver health.
• Diagnostic Imaging: Updated X-rays and ultrasounds to find the root of her increased regurgitation.
• Prescription Diet & Meds: Low-fat specialized food and medications (Omeprazole/Cisapride) to stop her daily suffering. Along with supplements to help her liver and kidneys.
• Mobility Support: Evaluations for her rear legs to help her walk without pain.

A Community of Support ❤️
I am a dog trainer by trade, and I have dedicated my life to helping animals. Seeing Lyla struggle while I am financially hamstrung is a pain I can’t describe. Any contribution—no matter how small—goes directly toward giving this "gentle giant" the life she was promised when she was adopted.

If you cannot donate, please share Lyla’s story. Thank you for being the village that Lyla and I so desperately need right now.
