I am helping organize this fundraiser for my friend Lydia Gessele because she is going through a very difficult situation and needs support from the community.
Lydia is someone who has always stepped up for others. She has spent years speaking up for transparency, accountability, and fairness in her community. Many people know her as someone who is always willing to help neighbors, stand up for what is right, and advocate for others when they need a voice.
Lydia is also a mother who is simply trying to make ends meet and provide for her children. Like many families, she has faced financial hardships, and despite working hard and doing everything she can, she has fallen behind.
Unfortunately, Lydia is now facing the possibility of losing her home due to delinquent property taxes. In North Dakota, when property taxes go unpaid for three years, the county can take ownership of the property if the taxes are not redeemed.
Anyone who truly knows Lydia knows the kind of person she is. She is the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She has spent so much time helping others in her community, and now she needs help herself.
This fundraiser was created to help Lydia catch up on the property taxes and keep the home she has worked so hard for.
If you are able to donate, any amount will help. If you cannot donate, simply sharing this fundraiser could make a huge difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read Lydia’s story and for supporting someone who has spent so much time supporting others.
The goal is to raise enough funds to pay the outstanding property taxes and prevent her from losing her home. Any support—whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser—can make a real difference.
