Before starting dialysis, fluid built up in my body and filled my lungs, leading to many hospital visits from 2024 through 2026. During this time, my only truck broke down, making it even harder to get to the care I needed. I share a truck with my son, but since he works full time, transportation has become a real challenge for me.
Having reliable transportation is essential for me to get to my dialysis appointments, which are more than 35 miles away. The funds raised will help me repair my truck and purchase oxygen tanks, which are crucial for my lung recovery and peace of mind after a very difficult surgery. Regaining my independence means I can focus on healing and managing my health without the constant worry of how I’ll get to treatment or have the oxygen support I need.
Any support would benefit me dearly. Being a single mother for so long, it would mean so much to receive help from the community I’ve served as an advocate for many years. Now, as I approach retirement, I am asking for a little help to regain my independence and stability. I am deeply grateful for any support, and I thank everyone who donates to my journey.
