Help Lydia Overcome Medical Bills and Cancer

Hi. My name is Tess. I am the stepmom of Lydia, a beautiful 41-year-old single woman with a heart of gold. Unfortunately, now she also has some tumors of cancer.

I am setting up this GoFundMe for Lydia to try to help her catch up with her medical bills. I know there are a lot of kindhearted people, family, and friends out there who are willing to help someone in need.

Lydia is embarking on a new chapter of her life. She was diagnosed on May 24 with breast cancer after a routine mammogram. At about the same time, her job position was eliminated due to restructuring and she lost that employment. She does not qualify for unemployment compensation nor short-term disability.

After a couple weeks of testing, she started her chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She has triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2A, a very aggressive form. She has already started her chemo, which will take 24 weeks before she can undergo the surgery. Luckily the cancer has not spread to her lymph nodes or anywhere else in her body. Due to these treatments, she is not able to work for at least the rest of this year or more, and it will be difficult to catch up with all her medical bills and life expenses.

Every little bit will help and make her life easier. I truly appreciate all.
