It is with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share that Lydia Mun received the devastating news that she is battling stage 4 breast cancer. Lydia is a recent graduate of the Purdue University College of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. Lydia’s journey has been marked by her relentless commitment to her studies, her compassionate nature, and her unwavering resolve to make a difference in the world.

This diagnosis has brought an unexpected and severe challenge to her life, placing immense physical, emotional, and financial strain on her and her loved ones. Tragically, Lydia has also had to make the heart-wrenching decision to withdraw from her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Community Health Network in Indianapolis due to the demands of her treatment.

Throughout her time at Purdue, Lydia exemplified dedication and passion. She excelled in her studies, formed lasting friendships, and inspired those around her with her perseverance and kindness. Now, Lydia faces a new battle—one that involves extensive treatments, frequent medical visits, and substantial financial burdens.
