Help Lydia Castillo Fight a Rare Stage 4 Cancer- Gallbladder
A Dream Deferred
Our amazing mother, Lydia Castillo, recently celebrated a huge milestone: her retirement from the Post Office in April of this year after 32 years of dedicated service. She and our father, Rojelio Castillo, had big plans. Their retirement was meant to be filled with the joy of travel, spending time with family, and finally relaxing after a lifetime of hard work.
An Unexpected Turn
In August, just a few months into their well-deserved retirement, everything changed. Mom started experiencing severe pain in her side, which led to a visit to the doctor. What we initially thought might be gallstones quickly escalated into devastating news.
After further testing, we were given the heartbreaking diagnosis that Mom has Stage 4 Cancer. To make the situation even more challenging, she is battling a very rare form of cancer—one that is aggressive and requires specialized, intensive treatment.
The Financial Strain
The battle against cancer is not just physical and emotional; it is also a huge financial burden. We are trying to keep Mom focused on her fight, but the costs are already mounting rapidly.
Donations raised will directly help cover:
• Medical Co-pays and Deductibles: For frequent specialist appointments, scans, and treatments.
• Essential Prescriptions: Costly medications often not fully covered by insurance.
How You Can Help
We are humbly asking for any support you can offer to help ease this immense financial stress on our parents. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward helping Mom access the care she needs and allowing our family to spend precious time with her, not worrying about bills.
If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. You can still help us immensely by sharing this fundraiser with your network. Please keep Lydia Castillo in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and generosity.
