Help Elect Lydia Bigley to DLR County Council

I am delighted to be selected by the Social Democrats to stand in the Local Election in June for the Blackrock LEA on Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. To win a seat, I need your support.
I have put myself forward because I know it is time for real change. We need to elect new people who have a fresh vision for our area. I am passionate about achieving this change and want to put my unique talents and life experience to good use.
If elected, I pledge to:
- priortise the delivery of social and affordable homes
- tackle vacancy and dereliction
- fight for increased funding for public amenities for all our community
- push for the integration of climate policy at council level
- make Blackrock more liveable for everyone in the community
However, running for office is a huge financial outlay. I estimate that it will cost me up to €4,000.
I don’t have a wealthy partner who can bankroll my campaign and my extended family is not that big, therefore I need all the financial help I can get.
To help me reach every voter in the Blackrock Electoral Area:
- €10 will help me pay for an ad on social media
- €50 will help me pay for five election posters
- €100 will help me buy 2,000 leaflets
Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

- Donations can only be accepted from residents of the Republic of Ireland or Irish citizens abroad.
- I cannot accept donations over €1,000 from one person
- I cannot take an anonymous donation of over €100.
- I may have to contact you after your donation to confirm your details.
By donating, you confirm that you are an Irish resident or an Irish citizen living overseas and that you have not exceeded the maximum annual donation to the Social Democrats of €2,500.
